Core Facilities
Due to the subject matter of the groups forming part of the centre the Research Support Units included in the centre are:
- Nanoimaging Unit: composed of different equipment for imaging, both in vitro and in vivo. From which the following can be noted: fluorescence microscopy, confocal microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and magnetic resonance imaging.
- Cell Culture Unit: unit provided with the equipment (cabins, liquid nitrogen containers, inverted microscopes, etc.) and technical staff necessary for the maintenance of cell cultures required at the different centre lines.
- Chemical Unit: equipped with different spectroscopic instruments, such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers and absorption and fluorescence spectrometers to characterize and analyze the physical and chemical properties of nanomaterials.
- Histology Unit
- Animal facility: this unit will accommodate laboratory animals required to carry out pre-clinical trials regarding technologies and products developed in the centre
