Nekane Barbero Olmos
Nekane Barbero received her PhD degree from the University of Basque Country in 2010, under the direction of Professor E. Domínguez and R. San Martín, for the study of copper-catalyzed O-, N- and C-arylation reactions in aqueous media applied to the synthesis of benzoxazoles, xanthones, benzimidazolones, isoindoloindoles and indoloindoles. In 2010, she obtained a post-doctoral position at the Institut Català d’Investigació Química (ICIQ) in the group of R. Martín, where she worked in the activation of inert Carbon-Sulfur and Carbon-Oxigen bonds by means of Ni catalysis. In 2013, she got a Postdoctoral position in the Biomimetic Dendrimers and Photonic Laboratory in BIONAND to work in the field of allergic drug reactions.
