Histology sample preparation

Conventional histological sample processing is based on the chemical fixation of tissue to preserve its microscopic structure and to support the sample through paraffin embedding for microtome-based sectioning. 5 to 10 µm thick slides can be obtained and specific structures can be highlighted using different staining techniques.
